The love of my life turns 23 years old today. I overflow with adoration for him.

David Lee Schultz by Rachel Schultz

  1. He brings peace everywhere he goes. I have seen him talk people down from pretty tense and angry situations.
  2. We laugh so much together. Like, so much.
  3. Dave assumes the best in others. More than anyone I have ever ever known. People are people to him and not objects.
  4. HUMBLE.
  5. He likes imagining what people looked like as little kids. Once he confided in me that he would look around his college lectures, picturing people when they were toddlers. (PRECIOUS!)  See number 3.
  6. To me, the most romantic thing he has done was clean the dishes for me after he got home from a long day of work. And he does that everyday.
  7. Without exception if he is ever asked to describe someone the FIRST word he says is “nice.” See number 3.
  8. The thing I love most about David is that he keeps his promise to love me. Even when I am completely unlovable, which unfortunately has been a lot, even in just these few months of being married. And he does not do it to hold it over my head or to feel good about himself. He does it as a testament to God’s glory and promises.

January 9th has become my favorite day of the year.
